Josh Pennypacker casts his line Tuesday afternoon into the Androscoggin River from the rocks at Great Falls in Lewiston. He and co-worker Sam Longmoore, both of whom are from Vermont, were trying their luck at reeling in fish. Longmoore said the dam and falls reminded them of the Connecticut River where they often fish and were on alert for the horn blast before the dam opened and the water level rose. “I’m going to try my luck a little more downstream,” he said.
