NORWAY — The Friends of Norway Memorial Library’s 2023 Quilt Raffle tickets are now on sale. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. They are available at Norway Memorial Libray, 258 Main Street, Norway, and at used book sales beginning at 9 a.m. on July 8 and August 12, at the Gingerbread House, 500 Main Street in Norway. Proceeds from ticket sales will support educational and cultural resources in our community.

The quilt is on display at the Norway Memorial Library. The 46″ x 57” quilt top uses 100% cotton fabrics from the Chalk Garden line by Benartex, 2023 Maine Quilt Shop Hop fabrics. Jan Ward, Friends of Norway Memorial Library board member and treasurer, made the quilt using the Churn Dash square pattern. Sew Orchid Design on Main Street in Norway did the quilting. The vibrant colors make this quilt a work of art. The addition of the label identifying this quilt by the year makes it a one-of-a-kind item.
