Lauretta A. Sirois
AUBURN – Lauretta A. Sirois passed away peacefully at 101 years old at the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs’ Home of Maine, July 12, 2023.
Lauretta was born in Lewiston on April 3, 1922, the daughter of the late Emile and Malvina (Robitaille) Ouellette. A life-long member of St. Mary’s church and educated at St. Mary’s school.
She enjoyed going to garage sales, camping, spending time at the ocean and going to Florida in the winter. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, doing crafts and playing cards with family members at home and at the nursing home.
She will be lovingly missed by her son, Leo, wife Judy of Lewiston, daughter, Helene Beauchesne, and her partner Stephen Berry of Hartford, and Florida, daughter-in-law, Christine Sirois of Auburn; several nieces, nephews; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Lauretta was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert; son, Rene; two brothers, the Reverend Father Roger Ouellette, Paul and his wife Antoinette, three sisters, Sister Rita Ouellette MIC of Joliette, Quebec Canada; Laurianne; Rejeanne LeClaire and her husband Lucien LeClaire and their son, Normand.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff at the Odd Fellows’ and Rebekahs’ Home of Maine in Auburn for their exceptional care.
The family invites you to a time of visitation at The Fortin Group Funeral Home, 70 Horton St. Lewiston on Monday July 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday July 18 Tuesday July 18th at Holy Family Church, Sabattus St, Lewiston at 11 a.m. followed by a committal service at St. Peters Cemetery in Lewiston on Switzerland Road.
