Melissa Hoskins and her three children, Even, Dillon and Ford carved eight pumpkins to spell “Lewiston” at their home on Pond Road in Lewiston. Hoskins said Monday that spending the day inside on Thursday with three children during a shelter-in-place order proved to be a bit much. “The kid’s noses were pressed against the windows,” said Hoskins. On day two of the order, Hoskins and her children carved the pumpkins. “We asked ourselves, ‘what can we do,'” Hoskins said about trying to help in some little way following the mass shootings in Lewiston.
