Richard C. Huskins

LEWISTON – Richard C. Huskins, 92, died Tuesday Feb. 15, 2024. He was born in Portland on July 29, 1931, the son of Clayton and Eleanor (Erskine) Huskins.

Richard attended Portland area schools. He worked as a laborer at Pioneer Plastics for over 30 years until his retirement. On May 30, 1953, Richard married Virginia Taylor. They enjoyed 60 years together before her death in 2013.

Richard resided on Peaks Island and in Auburn. He enjoyed collecting stamps and postcards, going to Windjammer Days in Boothbay, and attending the Fryeburg Fair.

Richard is survived by his son David Huskins and his wife Rhonda; granddaughter Shannon Lessard and her husband Randy, granddaughter Mallory Huskins; great grandson Trent Lessard; and stepdaughter Nancy King. He was predeceased by his wife Virginia; and his parents Clayton and Eleanor.
