Lee Holman of Hartford looks through a welder’s mask during the 2017 solar eclipse in front of Cafe Nomad on Main Street. Sun Journal file photo.

With the solar eclipse just days away, we want to hear your thoughts on how municipalities across Maine are getting ready to celebrate the event.

What changes have you noticed in your area? Is your town or city planning to throw an eclipse party? Has the local library run out of eclipse glasses already? Are your neighbors setting up “no parking” signs by the sidewalks to deter out-of-town visitors? Are the area schools dismissing students early?

We want to see what solar eclipse prep looks like in your area. Share your reactions and photos below for a possible story in the Sun Journal.
