I support Rep. Lauren Libby. Rep. Libby is a believer in freedom, as am I.

Rep. Laurel Libby recognizes the danger of the administrative state. Two hundred forty-eight years ago, Americans rejected the rule of kings when declaring independence from Britain and its monarchical government. But nationally and in Maine, unelected bureaucrats create rules which affect us immensely.

Recently, members of the Maine Department of Environmental Protection, none of whom are elected by Maine voters, voted on what type of car its residents will drive. This is an example of unelected “kings” deciding what is best for us “subjects.”

Rep. Libby understands the need to limit the government. No matter which side of an issue one is on, it is we the people whom our Constitution protects from government, who must defend the right to elect and to reject representatives who make decisions for us — and not be ruled by unelected, little kings.
