Lou LePage of Lewiston releases a crappie he caught Tuesday while fishing on Sabattus Pond in Sabattus. The retired Lewiston firefighter said fishing has been slow because the water is cold, but “hey, I am out of the house and that’s what matters… I’m just relaxing and enjoying myself,” the 76-year-old U.S. Air Force veteran said. “I’m getting up there in age and I can’t do what I use to do, but as long as I can keep fishing, count me in.” LePage retired from the Lewiston Fire Department in 1997 after 26 years.
