LEWISTON — Richard Metivier was recognized for his 50 years of volunteer service to Milestones Federal Credit Union at its 79th annual meeting in April.
He joined the Supervisory Committee of what was then the Lewiston Municipal Federal Credit Union in June 1973, serving for eight years. After a short break, he returned as a board director in February 1983.
Over the years he has served in nearly every volunteer capacity, including board chairman, vice chairman, treasurer, director and Supervisory Committee member.
In recognizing Metivier’s service, credit union leaders said “His steadfast commitment and integrity have served as a cornerstone for the leadership of the credit union over the past five decades and his contributions truly cannot be understated.”
