OXFORD — Several fire crews were dispatched Saturday night to a building across from the Oxford Plains Speedway on Main Street, fire officials said.

Oxford Fire Department Lt. Steve Cordwell said around 9:15 p.m. that crews were still on the scene of a fire at 822 Main St. which was called in around 7:20 p.m.

“They’re in what we call the ‘mop-up’ stages,” Cordwell said.

No more information was made available by Sunday night.
