Marianne L. Bergeron

LEWISTON – Marianne L. Bergeron, 81, of Lewiston passed away peacefully on Monday June 3, 2024 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born in Lewiston on June 28, 1942 a daughter of the late Alphonse and Gloria Nadeau. She graduated from St. Dominic Regional High School, Class of 1960.

She married the love of her life, Richard N. Bergeron, on April 10, 1982 and the two started a family together. During that time, Marianne worked mostly as a homemaker tending to the needs of her family and making sure those needs were met. When she wasn’t a homemaker she worked at Knapp Shoe for several years as a piece worker and then worked for Gibson Cards as a Merchandiser. She will always be remembered as the Matriarch of the family and for the love of keeping family ties together. Her home was the location of many many family gatherings and she will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Doreen P. Naous and her husband Roger, her son, Steve R. Renaud and his wife Wanda, stepson, Richard Bergeron and his wife Tamra, Randy Bergeron and his wife Lori and stepson, Ronald Bergeron; three sisters, Lorraine, Jackie and Claudette, three brothers, Gerald, Raymond and Maurice; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by parents; her husband, Richard N. Bergeron Sr.; her son, Anthony M. Renaud and stepson, Raymond Bergeron.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday June 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn on Tuesday June 11 at 11 a.m. followed by Committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston (large mausoleum).
