Firefighters battle a blaze Sunday on Upper Street in Turner that destroyed what neighbors say was a 1 or 2-year-old home. Andree Kehn/Sun Journal

TURNER — Fire crews responded around 3 p.m. Sunday to a home on Upper Street for reports of a fire.

Early reports indicated fire crews sent to 408 Upper St. in Turner were met by flames coming from the front of a residence.

By 3:37 p.m., crews struck a second alarm indicating more mutual aid was requested.

Fire officials were not immediately available for details.
