Angela Lupardo sorts children’s books Friday at the Woman’s Literary Union in Auburn. Members collected donations for Saturday’s Free Books for Children from 9-11 a.m. at 19 Elm St. in Auburn. The selection is geared toward birth to fifth grade. Members made book bags to be handed out to each child. “They can stuff as many books as they can into their bag,” Lupardo, the event chairwoman said. “We have been talking about ways to get more books in the hands of children.” Daryn Slover/Sun Journal
