FAYETTE – Dennis Clifford Bamford, 72, a lifelong resident of Fayette, passed away peacefully at his home July 13, 2024, with his loving family by his side following complications from Parkinson’s Disease.

He was born Jan. 8, 1952, in Lewiston, the youngest son of Stanley and Ardis (Wilcox) Bamford.

Dennis was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School class of 1971. He married the love of his life, Audrey Marchetti, on July 8, 1972, in Jay, together they raised their two children Bryce and Lacy in Fayette.

Dennis worked at Bailey Brothers Ford in Livermore Falls from 1971-2000. In 2000 he opened Bamford’s Garage in Fayette full time and operated it until his retirement in 2016. His garage became a community gathering spot where friends would drop in to socialize and share the latest goings on. He made many loyal friends over his 45-year career.

Dennis will be remembered as a kind, honest and incredibly hard-working man that could fix nearly anything. He was a Ford guy and loved working on and talking about antique Fords, but his greatest love was his family.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Audrey; son Bryce and his wife Christina, daughter Lacy Badeau and husband Carl; three grandchildren Melissa Bamford (Deaken Trask), Jenna Badeau, and Seth Badeau; great-granddaughter Rylan Trask; nephew Jeremy Bamford (Nicole); great-nephew Robbie Bamford and great niece River Bamford, all of Fayette; father-in-law Peter Draper, brothers-in-law Michael Marchetti (Lori) and Randy Marchetti and sister-in-law Gail Watts all of Farmington. He was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Ardis; and brother Ted Bamford.

The family would like to thank the staff of Andwell Home Care and Hospice for their care and support. Online condolences may be expressed at https://www.finleyfuneralhome.com
