AUBURN — Lake Grove Park will be closed from 7-11 a.m. Tuesday and from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday to allow time the city to make additional improvements in the park.
During these closures, Public Works crews will install new benches, charcoal grills and a new dock, and will set up permanent concrete games, including cornhole.
The park will reopen as soon as possible both days.
Grove Street Park, formerly the Municipal Outlet Beach & Park, has recently undergone a number of improvements, including a new playground.
Located at 2 Fair St., the park is typically open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, at no charge.
A park ranger is on site from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekends to run the recreation station and help visitors with canoes, kayaks and paddle boats available for use at the park.
The park rangers are not lifeguards but visitors may swim at their own risk.
