DEAR SUN SPOTS: Good news! I have been contacted by Lisa Morin, activities director of a nonprofit group that wants to take on the tabs project. She will send you her contact information. Thanks to your readers, and to you for always being there for me.—Mary Ann, Auburn

ANSWER: Mary Ann had requested someone take over the volunteer efforts of getting aluminum tabs to the Ronald McDonald House in Portland from the Lewiston area (Sun Spots, Aug. 6). I was so pleased that within just a day or two after her request was published, Lisa contacted me and I got these two women together so Mary Ann could hand over the baton she has been holding for more than 25 years.

Proceeds made from recycling these tabs go toward helping care for families staying at the House while their critically ill child undergoes treatment. For more information, go to: rmhcmaine.org/tab-top-program.

This is how Sun Spots works. Yes, I love my job.
