WALES — Brittany Carrier had a hat trick as the Buckfield girls soccer team shut out Oak Hill, 4-0.
One of Carrier’s goals came on a penalty kick. Chloee Bennett also scored for the Bucks (3-0), while Sophie St. Pierre (two) and Kai Trenoweth had assists.
Kianna Finnegan made five saves in goal for Oak Hill, while MacKenzie Vattaso had 12 for Oak Hill (1-1).
BOYS SOCCER
RICHMOND 2, MONMOUTH ACADEMY 1: Kenny Mechum and Gavin Grover scored as the Bobcats earned the win in Richmond.
Rhys Terry and Zander Steele each had an assist for Richmond (2-0), and keeper David Edwards made eight saves.
Bryce Fletcher scored for Monmouth Academy (2-1), and Lewis Lamoreau made six saves in goal.
MT. BLUE 1, MT. ABRAM 0: Agusti Garcia’s overtime goal, assisted by Lincoln Tierney, lifted the Cougars to victory in Salem Township.
Mt. Blue improves to 2-1; Mt. Abram falls to 1-1.
ST. DOMINIC 3, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: Donel Tangilamesu scored twice as the Saints won in Rumford.
Daniel Iwuanyanwu also scored for St. Dom’s (2-1). Mountain Valley is 0-2-1.
