As a family member of a 20-year veteran of Maine’s health care workforce, I hope my neighbors join me in voting for Kristen Cloutier for House District 94 in November.

Rep. Cloutier has worked tirelessly to expand the health care workforce in Maine. Last year she sponsored a bill that established a commission that will help bridge the gap between our shrinking health care workforce and immigrants with medical experience. This year she sponsored a bill, enacted into law, that makes it easier for licensed physician’s assistants from other states to come practice in Maine.

Both of these translate into better and more sustainable working conditions for health care professionals. This means not just more providers in our state, but an incentive for those who are already here to stick around. And this means better quality health care for all of us.

A vote for Cloutier is a vote to improve health care in Maine.
