The following area students earned collegiate recognition.
Muhlenberg College
ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Greta Marchildon of Bowdoinham is one of 83 Muhlenberg College student-athletes who have been named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the fall 2024 season. The award honors sophomore or higher-level student-athletes who carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average.
A junior member of the field hockey team and a graduate of Mt. Ararat High School, Marchildon is studying public health at Muhlenberg.
University of Utah
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Courtney Larson, of Auburn, was named to the University of Utah’s 2024 summer dean’s list.
To qualify, the students earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher in at least 12 graded credit hours during the summer term.
Commonwealth University
MANSFIELD, Pa. — Allyson Lewis, of North Monmouth was among the nearly 600 Commonwealth University students named to the 2023-24 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete award list. Lewis attends the Mansfield campus.
Student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 upon completion of the academic year to be eligible for the PSAC Scholar-Athlete Award.
Simmons University
BOSTON — Hannah Groves of Durham was named to the 2024 spring semester dean’s list at Simmons University.
To qualify, undergraduate students must obtain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, based on 12 or more credit hours of work in classes using the letter grade system.
University of Maryland Global Campus
ADELPHI, Md. — Jonathan Grant of Raymond was recently named to the 2024 summer term dean’s list at University of Maryland Global Campus.
To be eligible, a student must complete at least six credits during the term, earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term, and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 at UMGC.
Georgia State University
ATLANTA, Ga. — Austin Bergeron of New Gloucester earned Georgia State University’s Global Scholar Distinction this summer, recognizing development the skills, knowledge and awareness that enhance the ability to succeed in a global environment.
Students who take five or more designated courses across the university and earn a grade of “B” or better, and who keep an institutional grade-point average of 3.0 or higher at the time of graduation, are recognized as Global Scholars.
