Delma McMillin

LEESBURG, Fla. – Delma McMillin, 81, of Leesburg, Fla. died in Florida on Nov. 2, 2024.

He was the son of Frederick J. McMillin and Minabell Strout McMillin and was educated in Bethel schools graduating from Gould Academy in 1963. He joined the U.S. Air Force in the summer of 1963 serving in many states and countries before leaving the service in the late 1980’s.

After leaving the military he had worked at the Brunswick Navel Air Station as a guard, as well as working for the Oxford County Sheriffs Department and Gould Academy.

He moved to Florida in the late 80’s where he was often seen walking his two dogs Jacques and Rusty around the Park. He called Bingo every Friday night at the rec hall.

He was predeceased by his parents and his wife Marcia. Delma is survived by his sons William and Jeffery; his sister Patricia M. Howe of Bryant Pond and brother Jack (Merrilee) McMillan of South Gardiner; nephew James A. Whitman (Julie) and their children Jenni and Jeff Johnston of Greenwood and J.J. Jr. and Karen of Bethel.

Graveside services will be held later in the spring of 2025
