A Lisbon grocer was clubbed and robbed of more than $2,000 Friday night by a young male outside his store.
Robert Blais, owner of Blais Market located in the business district of this small community was clubbed over the head twice and robbed of the day’s receipts when he got into his van after closing the place for the night.
The theft occurred shortly before midnight.
25 Years Ago: 1999
Hundreds of patients and employees evacuated medical offices building at Central Maine Medical Center Monday afternoon after it received the second bomb threat in a week.
Bomb-sniffing dogs spent nearly two hours checking the building at 12 High St. in Lewiston. No explosives were found, CMMC spokesman Randy Dustin said.
