FREEPORT — Three years after it won its fight to convert a 130-year-old mansion into a fast-food restaurant, McDonald’s has launched a court battle to install a drive-through window.
The restaurant chain filed suit against the town of Freeport, seeking to overturn its new zoning ordinance and invalidate a temporary moratorium on commercial development in the fast-growing downtown shopping district.
The suit was filed last week in Superior Court in Portland.
