Mona E. Gosselin

LEWISTON – Mona E. Gosselin, a beacon of love and creativity, passed away peacefully on Nov. 27, 2024, at the age of 73, in her hometown of Lewiston. Born on June 30, 1951, in Lewiston, she was a lifelong resident who touched the hearts of many with her generosity and artistic spirit.

Mona was a devoted mother and is survived by her loving children, Jesse D. Gosselin, Fern D. Gosselin, Jr. and wife Diane of Palm Bay , Fla., and Stacey A. Hathorne. She is also survived by her sister Arlene Green, grandchildren, Adam and Trevor Hathorne, Chace and Mia Gosselin and three great-grandchildren. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her parents and brother Gary.

She was a cherished figure in their lives, embodying strength and compassion in every role she undertook. Though her beloved husband, Fern D. Gosselin, Sr., predeceased her, their shared love continues to resonate within the family.

Professionally, Mona was highly regarded as an engraver in the awards industry, where her meticulous craftsmanship and creative flair were evident in every piece she produced. Her colleagues admired her for her dedication and the warmth she brought to the workplace.

Those who knew Mona will remember her as the epitome of a loving and generous soul. Her creativity was not just a career but a way of life, as she found joy in making the world around her a more beautiful place. Her laughter, kindness, and artistic touch will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was an avid quilter and loved to sew.

Mona’s life was a testament to the power of giving, and her legacy will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. As we bid farewell to Mona E. Gosselin, we celebrate a life well-lived and a woman dearly loved. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of her family, friends, and community.

A graveside service will take place on Friday Dec. 6, 2024, at 1:30 p.m., at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston.
