The public is invited to the ceremony to meet the escort.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Heywood Club had a wonderful tree lighting this past Sunday afternoon.
The parents of the boy who left us all too soon were there to “light the tree,” which was special. A large basket full of items was given to them from the Caring Hearts Tear Basket group.
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. We have room to add more lights and are still taking donations for lights in honor of, or in memory of, those you love until Dec. 20. You can mail your donation to Barbara Townsend at 475 Crockett Ridge, Norway, ME 04268.
It’s a beautiful tree and the lights burn brightly from 4-10 p.m. daily through Dec. 31 for viewing. — Barbara, Norway
ANSWER: I plan on making a special trip over to shop and have an early viewing of the lights. Norway is one of my favorite places in Maine.
