DEAR SUN SPOTS: The 2nd Annual Live Nativity will be presented on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 5 p.m. at Field of Faith on Lodge Hill, 437 Bean Road in East Otisfield. All are welcome.

The Holy Family, angels, shepherds, and Magi will be joined by live animals for the reading of the Biblical account of the birth of Jesus. Spectators will gather around the lighted patio outside the large, renovated barn. Four churches are involved with planning and staging this 2nd annual pageant.

ANSWER: I know from experience that so much work goes into the reenactment of the First Christmas. No matter what you believe, you will find connection, contentment, and appreciation for this age-old story as it is retold.

I must add that this past weekend, I was at a craft fair and overheard a group of shoppers talking about how they found out about that event because they saw it in Sun Spots. I was quite pleased! Thank you to all my wonderful Sun Spots readers for your letters!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: We will hold our Christmas Eve service Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 4 p.m.at the North Waterford Congregational Church at 10 Irving Green Road off Route 35 in North Waterford.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Currently, Pleasant St. Drop-in Center is all set with sweaters and sweatshirts. Please continue donating men and women’s underwear in small and medium sizes.

We desperately need more gloves, mittens and handwarmers. We always need blankets and are running low on body wipes and tampons.
