PORTLAND — Frida Zeinali of Auburn and Alex Fuller of Portland were married Friday, Jan. 3, at Portland City Hall.

Frida is a 2024 graduate of Marquette University and a reporter at the Lewiston Sun Journal, part of Maine Trust for Local News. Alex is a 2009 graduate of University of Maine at Farmington and is an IT specialist at the Verrill law firm.

Frida’s parents are Salman Zeynalilaki and Farideh Khademhosseini of Tabriz, Iran. Alex’s parents are Gary James Fuller and Sally Lynn Sprowl of Gardiner, Maine, and Marana, Arizona, respectively.

The ceremony was officiated by Lillian Luttrell of Portland City Hall.

The couple met in Portland. They’re planning to move to Colorado to be closer to family.

A bigger celebration will be held at a later date with both families.
