SALEM TOWNSHIP — Shannah Parsons went 3 for 3 at the plate with a home run and drove in five runs and earned the win in the circle in the Monmouth softball team’s 22-0 win over Mt. Abram in three innings Monday.
Rileigh Chase was 4 for 4 with another home run for Monmouth. Lily Palleschi and Evelyn Pettengill both doubled and tripled for the Mustangs.
MOUNTAIN VALLEY 21, MADISON 0: Addison Libby was perfect and Maddy Brown was productive as the Falcons (2-1) soared past the Bulldogs (0-3) in three innings in Madison.
Libby pitched a perfect game with six strikeouts over three innings. Brown was 3 for 5 at the plate with two doubles, five RBI and three runs. Ali Mazza and Kyanah Wing also scored three times apiece, while Madisyn McLean contributed two hits and scored a pair of runs.
Mountain Valley finished with eight hits and drew 15 walks.
LISBON 5, DIRIGO 2: Sophia Bowie homered and Mackenzie Eaton pitched a three-hitter for the Greyhounds (3-0) in Dixfield.
Eaton struck out eight and walked five over seven innings. She also doubled, drove in a run and scored one. She, Bowie and Brook Norman each had two hits for Lisbon.
Lana Waite, Hannah Hamner and Emma Witas had Dirigo’s (0-2) hits.
ST. DOMINIC 16, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Maddie Andrews was 3 for 4 with an RBI and two runs, while Chloe Croteau was 3 for 4 with three runs scored, and the Saints (2-1) rolled past the Seagulls in Old Orchard.
Piper Croteau scored four times for the Saints.
Hannah Webber had the only hit for Old Orchard Beach.
FREEPORT 15, POLAND 0: Piper Larochelle pitched a three-hit shutout in the Falcons’ five-inning mercy-rule win over the Knights in Poland.
Larochelle also drove in two runs and scored one. Alison Brown finished with two RBI and two runs for Freeport (2-0), while Celia Cobb scored four runs and Isabella George three.
Phoebe Paradis, Olivia Rioux and Karlee Lothrop had one hit apiece for Poland (1-2).
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 27, SACOPEE VALLEY 11: Audrey Getchell’s five hits paced the potent Patriots (2-1) offense in their win over the Hawks in Hiram.
Getchell drove in two runs, had a triple and scored a run. She also earned the win and struck out six batters.
Valerie Farrar was 4 for 6 at the plate and scored three runs for Gray-New Gloucester. Emily Carroll contributed three hits, three runs and four RBI, and Kylie Gervais tallied three hits, drove in two runs and scored four. Rhylan Delano and Molly Carroll each had two hits, two runs and two RBI.
Charlotte Cyr tallied four hits, two of which were doubles, drove in a pair of runs and scored four for Sacopee Valley (0-1). Brianna Eastman hit a home run and led the Hawks with three RBI.
HAMPDEN 4, OXFORD HILLS 3: The Broncos scored four runs off four hits to beat the Vikings in Hampden.
Keira Gabric, Aubrey Shaw, Addie Worster and Mariah Coon each had a single for Hampden. Gabric drove in two runs in the Broncos’ three-run fourth inning, then scored on a throwing error when she attempted to steal third base.
Broncos (3-0) pitcher Cat Facchini struck out nine batters and allowed four hits.
Oxford Hills (2-1) pitcher Kyeria Morse struck out 13 batters. Atalie Campbell finished with two hits, including a double.
OAK HILL 9, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 4: Izzy Whitaker struck out 11 and scored three runs for the Raiders (1-1) in their victory over the Phoenix in Wales.
Whitaker had one of Oak Hill’s three doubles. Carlee Austin and Ava Lemont had the others. Austin, Olivia French and Ava Rivet each drove in two runs, while Lemont and Emma Dubois had two hits apiece.
Tyoaka Hodgkin led Spruce Mountain with two hits, including a triple.
BASEBALL
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 10, SACOPEE VALLEY 5: The Patriots (1-2) took advantage of seven errors by scoring six unearned runs in their win over the Hawks (1-2) in South Hiram.
Gray-New Gloucester pitcher Seth Esping allowed four hits and five runs, striking out five and walking two to earn the win.
Donovan Harvey, Braiden Croteau, Bradly Metcalf and Bryce Stacey each had hits for the Hawks.
MT. ARARAT 4, LEWISTON 1: The Eagles broke a 1-1 tie with a run in the sixth and two in the top of the seventh to beat the Blue Devils in Lewiston.
Kaleb Hussey pitched all seven innings to earn the win for Mt. Ararat (2-1). Jesse Bowker doubled and scored a run, and Ethan Berry led the offense with two hits.
Jeffrey Randall (two hits) and Michael Caron doubled for Lewiston (1-2). Lonnie Thomas went the distance on the mound.
POLAND 8, FREEPORT 4: The Knights beat the Falcons in Poland with a balanced offensive attack that included six hitters recording a hit.
Aiden Bean, Alex Mains and Watson Paradis paced Poland with two hits apiece. Landon Cooper pitched the first four innings for the Knights (2-1) and contributed at the plate with two RBI.
Freeport (0-2) was led offensively by Ben Bolduc and Liam Emmons, who each had two hits. Jacob Langley contributed a double.
OAK HILL 12, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 11: The Raiders pulled out a one-run win over the Phoenix, scoring 10 of their 12 runs in the fifth and sixth innings in Wales.
The Raiders trailed 8-2 before scoring six runs in the bottom of the fifth and four in the sixth.
Carson Morin led Oak Hill (1-1) with three hits, one run and one RBI. Braden New drove in three runs.
Blake Gemelli had two runs, two hits and two RBIs for Spruce Mountain (0-3).
LEAVITT 12, WATERVILLE 2: Ryder Sawyer-Brown had two hits at the plate, and earned a win on the mound by striking out nine as the Hornets (1-1) beat the Purple Panthers (1-2) in six innings in Turner.
Randon Hutchinson and Landon Marquis each added two hits for Leavitt, including a double apiece.
Xavier Hamlin had two hits for Waterville. Derek Couture struck out five in the loss for the Purple Panthers.
BOYS LACROSSE
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/POLAND 17, WESTBROOK 4: Ashten Golebiewski scored five goals and dished out four assists as the 26ers (2-1) beat the Blue Blazes (0-3) in Westbrook.
Tucker Nelson added four goals and four assists, while Breck Langevin had three goals and Quinn Smolin (three assists) and Charlie Gilbert added two apiece for Gray-NG/Poland. Miguel Cyr also scored.
Mason Kelly scored twice, while Donovan Noyes, Kaden Campbell and Nolan Davis each scored once for Westbrook.
