LEWISTON — Police are investigating a Monday night report of shots fired in the Rideout Avenue area, according to a Lewiston Police Department Facebook post.

Police responded to the Rideout Avenue area around 9 p.m. Monday after receiving a report of several gunshots.

Several neighbors reported hearing gunfire and officers found shell casings in the street and evidence of a bullet striking a home, the post said.

Witnesses reported a person in a vehicle fired at another vehicle leaving the 77 Rideout Ave. Hillview Apartments complex.

No injuries were reported.
