LIVERMORE FALLS — Police arrested a Connecticut man on Monday for allegedly stealing tools and equipment from ReGenerate Livermore Falls on Diamond Road, police Chief Abe Haroon said Tuesday.
David Bybell, 37, of North Haven, Connecticut, was arrested on a felony charge of burglary and faces up to five years in prison and a maximum $5,000 fined if convicted.
Bybell had been a temporary worker at the biomass plant and was let go on Friday, Haroon said.
He was working for Corrosion Monitoring Services.
Bybell was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn and released on Monday, a corrections officer said. The bail amount was not available on Tuesday.
Among the tools taken were a reciprocal saw, rachets and straps. Police did recover one tool and planned to search Bybell’s vehicle, which was impounded, on Tuesday to see if other stolen tools and equipment could be located, Haroon said.
