Those who are more than 30 years old have had the good fortune to live during the greatest period in the greatest country of the modern era on our fragile planet. In short order, it has been carelessly dismantled and intentionally detached from our closest allies, who will no longer be able to trust the U.S. for decades to come.
In the end, I believe the people will prevail, but please do not be lulled into thinking that we can revive what we once had. The global community has already moved on. Our golden age is over, replaced by a gold encrusted Oval Office, and — whatever comes next — it will not be regained.
