We had a numerous people who correctly identified the painted utility control box located at the corner of Cedar and Lincoln streets in Lewiston. Many people connected the “HOPE” sign hung on the fence with the Hope Haven Gospel Mission across the street. Others also identified the Hill Mill, located on Cedar Street in the background of the photo. In a random drawing from all the correct entries, Gerard Dennison, of Auburn, was picked as the winner of a $25 Hannaford Supermarket gift card. He also had a personal connection with the mill and wrote, “The Hill Mill Cedar Street side. My father Fred Dennison worked there on that side in the basement from 1930 until it closed in December 1970. I worked on that side first three floors in the weave room 1967-1968.”
