The Boston Red Sox promoted two of their top minor league prospects on Friday, moving infielder Mikey Romero to Triple-A Worcester and replacing him on the Portland Sea Dogs roster with outfielder Miguel Bleis.

Romero, ranked as Boston’s No. 7 prospect by MLB.com, was hitting .254 with eight home runs and 40 RBI for the Sea Dogs.

Bleis, Boston’s No. 12 prospect, had a .226 average with 13 homers, 41 RBI and 20 steals for Class A Greenville.

• The Altoona Curve broke a scoreless tie with two unearned runs in the seventh inning Friday night and held on for a 2-1 win over the Sea Dogs at Hadlock Field.

Sea Dogs starter Dalton Rogers allowed just three hits through six innings, but the Curve broke through against Jacob Webb in the seventh with the help of an error. Jase Bowen hit an RBI single, and a second run scored on a wild pitch.

Portland got its lone run in the bottom of the seventh on doubles by Brooks Brannon and Karson Simas — two of only four hits for the Sea Dogs.
