Bob Blackman, who led St. Dominic Academy to nine baseball state championships before the school closed earlier this year, has been named the coach at Gray-New Gloucester High School.
The Saints won their fourth straight Class D title last season, beating Bangor Christian 9-6 in the final. They also won five Class C state championships during Blackman’s 21 seasons as coach. St. Dom’s named its baseball field in honor Blackman after the 2024 season.
