We were pleasantly surprised by the vast number of correct answers we received for last week’s Mystery Photo of the Oquossoc Log Church (Oquossoc Union Church) at 37 Carry Road, Route 4, in the village of Oquossoc in Rangeley. The unique log structure was built in 1916 and placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. Nondenominational services are held there in July and August. Several of our entrants, including our winner Elizabeth Richards of Durham, noted that they were married in the church. Richards will receive a $25 Hannaford Supermarket gift card for being picked as this week’s winner.
