An attempt was made Wednesday night to steal the coin machine from a wall at Beal’s Cleaners, 51 Hampshire St., Auburn.

If all goes as planned, a Shaw’s supermarket will be moving into a new 45,000-square-foot building to be constructed at the former Bonneau’s Plaza in Lewiston.
Plans by the Shaw’s chain to relocate an existing store from the promenade Mall on Lisbon Street to the redeveloped plaza at Lisbon Street and South Avenue were revealed Tuesday night.
The Lewiston Planning Board granted developer Del Gendron a permit to redevelop the site, after making minor changes.
