LEWISTON — Sadie Landry of Lewiston was recently awarded her 200-hour certification in yoga from the ShivaShakti School of Yoga and Healing Arts.

Landry has studied Okinawan Kenpo karate for 20 years and currently holds the rank of sixth-degree black belt. She is a karate and cardio kickboxing instructor at Pelletier’s Karate Academy.

She is also teaching a Hatha-style Vinyasa Flow class for beginners in the evenings. Classes are held in six-week intervals. The next six-week block begins Nov. 22 at 7:30 p.m. A free introductory class for children and adults will be held on Nov. 19 at 11a.m. at Pelletier’s Karate Academy, 1 Taylor Hill Road, Lewiston (1.5 miles north of Marden’s in Lewiston).
