LIMERICK, Maine (AP) — Maine state police say speed and alcohol are likely factors in a crash that claimed the life of an 18-year-old motorist in the town of Limerick.
Troopers say the victim, Libby Lofgren from Newfield, died at the scene early Friday after her car left Route 5, went airborne and slammed into a tree.
Troopers say Lofgren’s driver’s license had been suspended since Jan. 28 for a number of prior convictions.
