LEWISTON — Baxter Brewing Company has announced that it will release its first seasonal beer, Celsius Summer Ale, next week.

The Baxter’s head brewer Ben Low described Celsius Summer Ale in a press release as having a “solid base of citrusy American hops which give a crisp bitterness, without overpowering the summery touches that make this beer so unique: lemon and lime peel, Kaffir lime leaves, and lemongrass.”

This is the fourth beer from Baxter Brewing Company and the company’s first seasonal beer.

“With our distribution now taking us to over 1,000 locations in Maine, and across the state of Massachusetts, we’ve had lots of demand for a series of seasonal varieties,” said Luke Livingston, Baxter Brewing Company’s founder and CEO.

Celsius Summer Ale is already available on tap in the Baxter Brewing tasting room in Bates Mill at 130 Mill Street.  Public tours are conducted at noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays, or by appointment.
