AUBURN — The New England Regional Turfgrass Foundation recently elected Scott Cybulski, certified golf course superintendent of Martindale Country Club, Auburn, as president.

The election, which included a new executive board, was held at the foundation’s 15th annual meeting April 24.

Cybulski replaces Christopher Cowan of Atlantic Golf and Turf, who will continue on the board as the immediate past president. The full board of directors consists of two appointed delegates from each of the seven chapters of GCSAA in New England, plus a delegate from New England Sports Turf Managers Association and Massachusetts Association of Lawn Care Professionals.

The foundation continues to focus its efforts toward funding turfgrass research at New England state universities and, to date, has committed more than $1.5 million in research funding since March 1998.
