DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Police Department responded to 32 incidents during the past week.

Arrest

* Mallory J. Tompkins, 25, of Bracket Street, Dixfield, on a charge of driving under the influence, at 10:52 p.m., May 22, on Pine Street. She crashed her 2001 Subaru, causing $1,500 damage. She was released from the Rumford Police Department on $1,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on July 3.

Accident

* A 2002 Pontiac sedan driven by Dennis P. McDonald, Birch Street, Bangor, crashed into a guardrail at 8:35 p.m., May 21, along Route 2 near the intersection with the Holman Road. The vehicle was destroyed. McDonald sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by Med-Care Ambulance Service.

Thefts

* The theft of nearly $3,000 in equipment was reported at 3:30 p.m., May 20, from the Rover Campground in East Dixfield. Stolen were four metal fire pit grates, a battery lawnmower, a weed whacker, and three pumps. Perpetrators broke through shed doors to reach the items.

* A Park Street resident reported the theft of a string of solar lights valued at $80 from his home at 1 p.m., May 21.

Theft and vandalism

* Owners of a cell tower atop Morrison Hill reported the theft of copper wire and about $2,000 in damage at 9 a.m., May 21. Thieves tried to break into a steel security door.
