Mechanics Savings Bank recently contributed $1,000 to the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA’s Annual Giving Campaign. All the funds raised remain in the Lewiston-Auburn communities and will benefit local residents, ensuring community access to life-enhancing YMCA programs, despite financial hardship, age or background. The programs include summer camp scholarships for area children at Camp Connor; financial assistance to quality child care and after-school programs for low-income working families; fitness activities for fixed-income seniors; and a number of additional youth development programs and exercise programs.
