I thank Rep. Peggy Rotundo, District 74, for her exceptional work.

I have known Rep. Rotundo for 20 years. She is compassionate, hard working, knowledgeable and dedicated.

Peggy has worked tirelessly for programs for our most venerable citizens, the elderly and children. Peggy talks to the people, answers questions and listens to concerns.

In the Appropriation Committee she fought to protect the MePERS from even more drastic cuts, understanding that the economic problems of the state should not all be paid for on the back of the retired.

Rep. Rotundo understands the difference between a real reduction in taxes for the middle class and a cost shifting scheme forcing up property taxes and cutting health care by shifting the costs back to the hospitals that, in turn, shift the cost to those paying premiums.
