The recent Sun Journal article, “Romney’s welfare politics ad misses on facts,” was interesting but regrettable that there was no corresponding article on the Obama Super PAC’s misleading ad implying that Mitt Romney was responsible for a former steel worker wife’s death because of Bain Capital’s investment in GST Steel in 1993.

The Washington Post Fact Checker gave both ads four Pinocchios for accuracy, and FactCheck.org also found the Obama ad to be misleading on several counts.

As most political ads are filled with half truths, insinuations and sometimes outright lies, the Sun Journal owes its readers some sort of balance when it selects articles to publish.

I have access to the Internet and news stations and can easily access differing views of a political candidate or issue in almost real time, but I also prefer to read the Sun Journal. However I have limited patience with one-sided reporting for either political party or candidate.

Voters are trying to make a decision on who to elect for president and you can help by keeping your readers informed with balanced, factual and unbiased reporting.

As you pick and choose articles to repeat from other sources, please keep that in mind.
