Coach: Amy Hediger (sixth year)
Last year’s record: 0-13-1

Key losses: Felicia Baril, Heidi Chipman, Chelsey King, Kenzie Chase.
Promising newcomers: Senior — Gabrielle Farias (F); Junior — Liz Callahan (G); Sophomores — Lilia Conway (M), Kyla Sturtevant (F); Freshman — Carly King (F).
Outlook: Eleven seniors have yet to win a varsity level game for the Knights, but Poland believes that experience will help turn things around in the rugged WMC. Eight starters return, including tri-captains Brousseau, Gibson and Lavoie. The Knights will employ a 5-3-2 alignment to take advantage of improved team speed. Sturtevant, a Lewiston transfer, will help the team’s transition from defense to offense. Lavoie was a first-team conference all-star in 2011. She will keep most games close, and the Knights expect their heightened scoring punch to put some notches in that elusive win column.
Coach’s comment: “This team has the opportunity to exhibit a tremendous amount of growth. They are all solid athletes. I am excited to see what they can achieve together.” — Coach Amy Hediger
