STANDISH — Rachel Groves of Jay has joined the nursing faculty at Saint Joseph’s College.

She is currently a clinical faculty member and freshman course coordinator at Central Maine Medical Center School of Nursing and Health Professions in Lewiston. She has also worked as a nursing supervisor at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington and as a staff nurse and clinical educator at Maine Medical Center’s pediatric intensive care unit.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Maine, a master’s degree in nursing from Simmons College and is enrolled in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program at the University of South Alabama.

Shannon Packard of Livermore has also joined the nursing faculty at Saint Joseph’s. She is currently a nursing instructor, project manager and simulation lab coordinator at Central Maine Medical Center College of Nursing and Health Sciences in Lewiston. She was previously a staff nurse and clinical coordinator at the CMMC cardiopulmonary acute care unit and a staff nurse at the Rumford Hospital Intensive Care Unit. She is also an instructor of health care administration for the University of Phoenix Online.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Southern Maine and her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix, where she is currently a doctoral student in health care administration.
