OTISFIELD – Town officials are still waiting to hear from Oxford County  Superior Court on how to proceed with U.S. Cellular’s proposal to build a 180-foot communications tower on Scribner Hill.

“Nothing as of last night,” Selectman Rick Micklon said Wednesday when asked if he had heard from the court.

Micklon said the court-ordered Findings of Facts and Conclusions of Law document drafted and approved by the Planning Board was immediately forwarded to the town’s attorney, Phil Saucier, of Bernstein Shur in Portland for final review and delivered to the court.

The document was required by Justice Robert Clifford after Friends of Scribner Hill filed suit in the Paris court. The group asked the court to overturn the Board of Appeals decision upholding the Planning Board’s approval of the permit application.
