AUBURN — Wayne Werts, a candidate for the Maine House of Representatives District 70 seat, which includes parts of Auburn and Lewiston, announced the formation of his campaign leadership team at a recent event in Auburn.

Werts, Auburn’s fire chief for nine years and a firefighter for 33, said the team includes longtime Auburn residents Ed and Sheila Desgrosseilliers, Renee Cote and Michael Scott, as well as Ronella “Ronnie” Paradis and Penthea Burns of Lewiston.

Werts resides in Auburn with his wife, Debra. Since retiring he has provided consulting services to municipalities across New England.
