NEW GLOUCESTER — Patricia Louise Dionisio passed away unexpectedly at her home in New Gloucester on Oct. 22. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Some would say she died from a broken heart, but even in this great sadness you can say she is happy to be reunited with her children, Paula and Randolph in Heaven.
Patty, as most knew her as, was born May 15, 1942, in Strong. She was adopted by Edna (Talbot) and Kenneth Ladd and grew up in Strong. She has lived in New Gloucester for 40 years. She is a member of the New Gloucester Congregational Church and the New Gloucester Am-vet Post.
Patty was an avid reader and was always trying to give her used books to her children. She enjoyed watching wildlife in her back yard. Recently, she has had a nightly visitor, a raccoon that would peer through her door at night and watch what she was doing. She enjoyed taking care of the stray cats and would make arrangements to have the feral cats neutered.
Most of all, she enjoyed the special times with her granddaughters. As soon as they were off the school bus they were in her home. While in her home you would see several arts and craft projects that they made together. While shopping with her, she had to stop at the arts and craft section to by new projects to do with them.
She leaves behind her former husband and best friend, Hukom Dionisio of Standish; children, Kimberly and her husband, Bill, Donna and her husband, Kevin, David and his wife, Jennifer, Manuella and her husband, Barry and her son, Kevin; she also leaves behind 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Paula; and son, Randolph.
