NORWAY – A celebration of the Alan Day Community Garden will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 26 Whitman St.

Organizers said the event is being held so families can celebrate the season while supporting the local community garden where volunteers help people learn how to grow their own food.

Alan Day Community Garden volunteers will be closing in the greenhouse used by students at the Rowe Elementary School, fencing in the new garden area, cleaning up and planting a cover crop and preparing the barn to be a classroom.

T-shirts will be available for sale. Plots can be sponsored for a family or gifted through sponsorship certificates that will be available that day.

Hot cider with cinnamon will also be available.
