Norway and Paris have some of the lowest gas prices in the state, according to website mainegasprices.com.
On Tuesday morning, the price per gallon of regular was $3.31 at several gas stations in Norway and Paris.
According to the website, the average price of a gallon of gasoline in Maine is $3.51. The average price of gas has declined recently, dropping 3 cents last week.
Maine’s average price is still considerably higher than the national average, $3.32 per gallon and prices in neighboring states — $3.26 in New Hampshire and $3.49 in Massachusetts.
Other Maine towns with low prices include Wells and Cape Elizabeth, with $3.37 per gallon. Saint Agatha, a town in far northern Aroostook County, had the highest price in the state — $3.79 while prices in Cumberland and Gray were recorded at $3.78.
